Artist Statement
As I research my ontology through the creative act of art I find myself interested in society's consumption of time. A teacup represents the human vessel surrounded by the ever changing construction of nature highlighting the balance of the 'ephemeral' and the 'real.' The concept is simple, yet so beautifully complex and is an enjoyable challenge to represent through oil painting.
